Women in the Church
Purpose of Women in the Church
The purpose of the Women in the Church (WIC) is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending His Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world.
The framework of the Women in the Church organization provides an opportunity for every woman to discern and exercise her gifts and abilities to the glory of God in the total work and worship of the church.
The goal is that this purpose will become reality as women are given opportunities to respond to the Gospel and to pray, study the Scriptures, fellowship and serve the Lord together.
The Women in the Church organization recognizes that all ministries and activities of the church are under the authority and guidance of the session.
What is a Circle?
The purpose of the circles is to provide opportunities for Bible study, fellowship and service in an organized way.
Circles meet monthly on the 1st Tuesday
- Circle #1 @ 10:00 a.m.
- Circle #2 @ 1:00 p.m.
- Circle #3 meets the subsequent Wednesday evening at 5:45.
Each meeting includes: fellowship and ministering to each other, prayer, Bible study, financial offerings*, learning of opportunities to serve locally, and learning about church, regional and denominational activities.
We encourage each woman in the church to be a member of a circle, even if they cannot attend monthly meetings. This allows us to effectively communicate information about programs, activities and opportunities in the church to all of our women.
* Two offerings are collected: a Regular offering to meet the WIC annual budget and a Mite offering used for special needs within the circle.
